Spain Vs Netherland : REPORT

As it was said " The Rematch of World Cup 2010 Final " , it didn't prove out that way .Rather this match showed the Dutch Dominance over the Tiki - Taka of Spain .
Beore the match began , the Spaniards were looking favourites for the match . Being the defending champions Spain started the match with a positive note introducing Diego Costa before Fernando Torres .

It didnt take long , the first foul of the match came in 23 seconds by Vlaar on Diego Costa . Diego Costa missed an early chance in the 2nd minute when he was unable to collect Gerrard Pique's long ball .

In the 7th min Robben passes the sneijder and he misses a one on one chance with Casillas . His shot had no power in it .Now it was Spain's chance to attack through David Silva . david Silva steals the ball in midfield and passes it to Diego Costa who hesitates and allows Vlaar to get back and block the shot . Costa missed another chance in the 17th min when it way wide of the goal . The First corner of the game came in the 22nd min for Spain when Xavi's corner almost found Sergio Ramos' head .

In the 25th min Diego Costa was brought down in the penalty box and penalty was awarded to Spain . In the replays it was clear that there was only slight contact on Costa . Xabi Alonso stepped up to take the penalty and scored . Spain went 1-0 up . Jonathan De Guzzman was shown a yellow card in the 35th min because of harsh tackle on Xabi Alonso.

Just as Spain were looking Dominant in the game and probable of scoring the second , Dutch striker Robin Van Persie scores from a flying header over Iker Casillas head in the 44th min. this is the best goal of  FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 till now .

Just as the Second half began , the Dutch players were looking confident with their passes and Spain were defending in numbers .
GOAL Spain 1 - 2 Holland (52 min ) - As the Cross came in to Robben , he moves it away from Pique and Ramos and shots it past Iker Casillas to give the Dutch side Lead .
Robin Van Persie hits the baar with a Rocket of a Shot from his right foot .

GOAL Spain 1 - 3 Holland (64 min) Netherlans win a free kick in a prominent position. Sneijder takes the free kick .The free kick beats everyone including Casillas and De Vrij makes an important contact from his head and then his knee to score .

GOAL Spain 1 -4 Holland (72 min) Spain played a back pass to Iker Casillas who makes a mess with his first touch and gifts a goal to Robin Van Persie. Holland go 4 - 1 Up .

SUBSTITUTIONS (78 min)


Van Persie had done his job untill he was substituted in th 78th min . He was replaced by Veltman.
David Silva Replaced by Cesc Fabregas .

GOAL Spain 1 - 5 Holland - Sneijder gives a nice through ball to Arjen Robben who beats Ramos in the 40 year run then turns aroound in front of Iker Casillas making him helpless and shoots it into the net.

It could have been Six for Netherlands if Wljnaldum would have struck it past Iker Casillas . Casillas made a brilliant save . Arjen Robben attacks the rebounded ball and strikes the volley on target which is again saved by Casillas.
  
As the Full Time Whistle blew all the Netherland players jumped in the air and celebrated .
